The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) are a very friendly, active and supportive group of parents/guardians, who run various fundraising projects and organise numerous events throughout the school year.
To engage in fundraising activities and provide facilities or equipment which supports the school and advances the education for the pupils at Clipstone Brook. All while developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.
Meet the Committee
Throughout the year we organise numerous events which provide fun and enriching experiences for the children, social events for our parents and events which bring the community together in support of the school.
Our Current Committee Members are:
Fundraising
Our successful events include the Halloween disco, break the rules day, book fairs, bake sales, uniform shop, summer fayres, bingo and quiz nights, mothers and fathers day celebrations and the Leighton Buzzard town carnival!
In addition to supporting our events there are other ways parents can help fundraise including:
Every parent/carer is a member of our PTA. We are always looking for helping hands and support from sharing new ideas for fundraising or help with organisation prior to and during an event or even becoming a Committee Member.
Elections for the Committee take place at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is held in the Autumn Term. If you are interested please get in touch.
Joining the committee may not be for you but we would be delighted with any help before or at events during the year – it really is a case of ‘many hands make light work’. It doesn’t matter if you can’t help on a regular basis, or even if you can’t come into school. There are always little jobs throughout the year like providing support for refreshments at school events or tasks that can be done from home if you have half an hour to spare e.g. Wrapping the children’s Christmas gifts and preparing raffle tickets or prizes etc. We really couldn’t achieve what we do without the unseen ‘army of help’ that exists in school.
If you can spare time to help, the PTA would be pleased to hear from you! We have a whats app group where we plan all our events and are always keen to welcome more of you into the group. Please let the office know if you would like to be added. There is no obligation to attend events by being in the group. Most of what we do is behind the scenes.
Please look out for our forthcoming events advertised on the Headteachers bulletin, through the school app Weduc or via email.
A big thank you to the PTA and all our families for supporting the PTA events, thanks to you here are some of the recent purchases our fundraising has allowed us to achieve:
We are a small group of parents and staff just wanting to make a difference for the children in our school so if you have any fundraising ideas or small amounts of time to offer please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We are and will continue to be forever grateful to those who help make the events possible.
