2022 / 2023 = £64,350 and Catch Up Funding (now included with PPG Plan) £6,415

The government believes the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) (NB: used to be called Free School Meals) which is additional funding to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for PPG and their wealthier peers. This ensures that funding reaches the pupils who need it most. In most cases the PPG is allocated to schools and is clearly identifiable. It is for schools to decide how the PPG, allocated to schools per PPG pupil, is spent since they are best placed to access what additional provision should be made for the individuals within their responsibility.
