Children are encouraged to take pride in their appearance and in belonging to our school. The school implements a gender-neutral uniform, meaning that children are not required to wear specific items based on their gender and may wear any uniform items listed in the ‘School uniform’ section of the policy regardless of the legal sex recorded on the school’s records. Transgender pupils are supported to access the uniform that best reflects their gender expression.

We urge parents to supply a named water bottle throughout the year.
Please note, that we prefer children to have the standard book bags and PE bags because they take up less room in the classroom and in the cloakroom.
We prefer the children not to wear earrings at all, but if they are to be worn, they should be plain studs which they can remove easily for PE. For Health and Safety reasons, these need to be removed by the children themselves. If they can’t remove them by themselves, please remove them before school.
We encourage children with long hair to tie it back, this helps to reduce the transition of nits.
Footwear
School shoes should be flat and black or brown. During the Summer Term, flat sandals are acceptable at your discretion (‘fashion shoes’ with narrow heels or plastic beach shoes can-not be worn).
Children should not wear trainers or sports shoes as part of their uniform, including travelling to and from school unless being worn on their PE day.
* Unless footwear required due to contagious foot infections.
IMPORTANT REMINDER It is inevitable that items are lost or mislaid occasionally so please put your child’s name on all clothing including coats and shoes to help relocate them quickly.
